Roche - Travel & Expenses Policy
Engaging and interactive module raising awareness and support for the existing Travel and Expense (T&E) policy.
Requirements
Roche's UK finance team needed an e-learning course to raise awareness and support for their existing Travel and Expense (T&E) policy. dreamm was commissioned to provide an engaging and interactive package for all Roche UK employees, approximately 1,500 people.
Aims & Objectives
The e-learning was required to be engaging and interactive, with one mandatory core module covering awareness of the T&E policy, responsibilities, and the consequences of inappropriate claims. In addition, three optional modules were also developed and covered key points about travel, accommodation, and subsistence and entertaining.
Bloom’s Taxonomy of learning domains
dreamm employed Bloom’s Taxonomy of learning domains, including the top three levels, to challenge learners to analyse, evaluate content, concepts and potential outcomes, and synthesise.
Bespoke interactions
The e-learning included a mix of animation and interactive e-learning screens with optional audio, and assessment capabilities included multiple-choice questions with highly plausible distractors. The use of fictionalised scenarios in both formative and summative testing enabled intrinsic feedback to be given, by showing the outcome of each of the possible courses of action within the scenario.
Outcomes
The course was successful, as measured by reduced errors in coding of T&E claims. The interactive and engaging e-learning package developed by dreamm enabled learners to understand the T&E policy in an entertaining way. The use of Bloom's Taxonomy of learning domains, multiple-choice questions with plausible distractors, and fictionalised scenarios helped learners to synthesise, analyse, and evaluate content, leading to a deeper understanding of the T&E policy. The e-learning's use of scenarios and characters, coupled with gentle humour, made the material memorable and increased engagement among learners.
Measurable outcomes
The course was successful, as measured by reduced errors in coding of T&E claims.
